Official Amazon Associates Statement
Scoremet.com is a participant in the Amazon Services LLC Associates Program, an affiliate advertising program designed to provide a means for sites to earn advertising fees by advertising and linking to Amazon.com and affiliated sites.
"As an Amazon Associate, Scoremet earns from qualifying purchases."
1. How We Earn Revenue
Scoremet is an independently operated consumer research and product intelligence platform. To maintain our server infrastructure, continuous data normalization pipelines, and independent testing benchmarks without charging a subscription fee or displaying annoying banner pop-ups, we partner with reputable retailers via affiliate marketing programs.
When you click on a retailer link on Scoremet (e.g., buttons labeled "Check Price on Amazon", "View at Home Depot", or "Buy Now") and complete a qualifying purchase, the retailer pays us a small referral commission.
This referral commission comes at absolutely zero additional cost to you. The price you pay is identical whether you navigate directly to the retailer or click through our links.
2. Retailer Partners
In addition to Amazon Services LLC, Scoremet participates in affiliate programs and ad networks with the following certified retailers and marketplaces:
- The Home Depot Affiliate Program (via Impact Radius)
- Lowe's Companies, Inc. (via CJ Affiliate / Commission Junction)
- Acme Tools (via Rakuten Advertising)
- eBay Partner Network (EPN)
- Shopee & Regional Marketplaces (for international tool supplies)
All product names, trademarks, logos, and brands remain the property of their respective owners. Their mention on this website does not imply endorsement by or affiliation with the manufacturers unless explicitly noted.
3. Strict Editorial Independence & Algorithmic Scoring
Many review websites manually curate rankings based on which affiliate program pays the highest payout. Scoremet operates on the opposite principle:
- No brand or retailer can pay to increase a product's overall Scoremet Score or metric subscores.
- No manufacturer can pay to remove negative verdicts or limitations from our reports.
- If a product with zero affiliate partnership outperforms a brand with a lucrative affiliate payout, the superior product wins the comparison every single time.
- Products that do not meet minimum performance or durability benchmarks will be honestly flagged with "Skip If" caveats.
For a comprehensive explanation of our calculation weights (Performance 30%, Durability 20%, Value 20%, User Satisfaction 20%, Reliability 10%), visit our Scoring Methodology page.
4. Price Accuracy and Product Availability
Product prices and availability fluctuate constantly across online retailers. While our system periodically synchronizes pricing via official retailer APIs:
Any price and availability information displayed on retailer websites at the time of purchase will apply to the purchase of that product. Scoremet does not guarantee that listed prices remain static.
5. Questions & Feedback
If you have questions concerning our commercial relationships, editorial standards, or affiliate links, please contact our transparency team at contact@scoremet.com.
Scores and rankings on Scoremet are generated strictly by empirical metric calculations. We never accept payment to promote any product.
